I am applying for passport re-issue (passport expiring in May 2011) and my address in India is also changed. My original passport was issued in India by Chandigarh passport office.

- <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1">I have to travel to India in 2 months (Nov 2010 to Jan 2011). I am worried that I may not get my passport back by then. Is there any provision of getting short term passport (if I don’t get my passport back within 2 months). <LI class=MsoNormal style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1">If I do not send the passport for re-issue, my passport will be 4 months valid at the time of return to US (return - Jan 2011, Passport expiry - May 2011). Can that cause problem with immigration or airlines since the validity will be less than 6 months. (I am Working on H1B valid till Sep 2012, don’t have a valid Visa now, I will travel on AP.).
- Do I need to fill in and send the Misc Service form (for new address) along with the online form. (OR just sending the online form would be sufficient).
