Hello,
My wife needs to have her Indian passport renewed. The process and materials needed seem to be somewhat unclear. Also we are not sure if an interview is required or not. We have filled out the online application and have all of the documentation needed. We need a quick turnaround and thought we read that if we go in person, they may issue the passport the same day.
The questions we have is if the last statement is true. If we are to go to the embassy in Washington DC, can we obtain a copy of a new passport the same day? Is there any specific procedural nuances we should be aware of?
