SFO suspended OCI processing temporarily

Hi
I send my papers about 2 weeks back.I saw on the SFO consulate website that it has been suspended temporarily.Does anyone know more about it ?

My other question is after I sent in my papers the online tracker shows not yet acknowledged.
So what are the steps.Does the acknowledgement happen here in SFO or in India because the status is on the indian site.

How can I find the status here in SFO?I am worried as my original US and Indian passport I had to send.Hope they don't loose it.

acknowledge usually takes about 30 days after received by consulate. after that process is relatively fast. my app. was acknowledge 28 days after submission, 15 days there after it was printed and now its been dispatched back to s.f. consulate. hope this helps. if you want to check status of your application go to indiacgny.org where you will find link to status inquiry because cgisf.org has shut off everything related to OCI including status inquiry.
