Guidance to speed up passport issue at CGI,SFO

I have applied for a new passport (current one expires in Feb 2011) at CGI, San Francisco and it has been 18 days. What can I so to expedite processing as I have to travel in one week? There is no response to my email and phone calls.

You had one year to apply for an extension. I guess the consolute would say SOL unless you have an emergency involving life and death.
