  • PIO card holder received New Passport -- can travel?

    Hello,

Our daughter has a PIO card. She recently received a new US passport. And her middle name was removed from her new passport.

Can she travel to India with her PIO card + old passport and new passport?

It is so unfortunate that these consulates do not respond to any queries.

    Thanks for your help.
    RK

      No Problem at all

Make sure you also carry the child birth certificate. I travelled in July in a similar situation. The Mumbai Immigration just want to see the PIO card and the new passport. But it is a good idea to keep the old passport and birth certificate. It all depends on the mood of the Immigration officer and hence keep all documents together.

      Happy Journey.
