I am in a similar situation. Updated the new ppt details for my daughter using OCI miscellaneous services. I want to travel next week if possible. However, the processing time is 6-8 weeks or more. I called the consulate and they didnt give me any definitive answer- they told me to check with Indian immigration office (but their number is not working for me) or apply for evisa. Any recent experience on this, especially if you encountered any issue.
