Name Change Affidavit or Court Order Decree

Hello,

After I received my US citizenship, I changed my last name (from "xxx yyy" to "yyy") through court order decree. My US passport has the new last name. For the OCI application, do I have to submit a notarized name change affidavit or would a copy of court order decree suffice? If anyone had a similar experience, please share.

AFAIK, if the name on the Indian passport and the US passport differs, you need that notorized letter and you can use the court order as evidence/proof along with the notorized letter for name change.
