PIO Card , SFO

Hello,

I have a 5 month old son born in U.S and need to apply for PIO Card, but i have to visit India in December end. Could anyone please suggest me how long will it take in SFO to get the card and does it help we go in person and apply rather than sending it in mail.

I recently applied in-person in SFO for my kid and got in within 3 weeks. I chose to pick it up in-person as well to avoid delays and to verify right there if all the details in it were correct.

Thankyou very much Sbairy. I live in LA, so i have to plan trip to SFO. Do you think friday will be o.k, will i get a response in the consulate on friday.

My PIO application is taking for-ever to process. I sent it On Nov 8th, and the trip is nearing .

Can you tell me when you applied ( exact date) and when you got it . thanks much.

Are tehre any ways of communicating with the consulate , I live outside of California so going there is an expensive option. thanks
