OCI new registration - address proof

Hello,

My spouse is on a dependent visa & doesn't have valid address proof in the USA. Can I submit my address proof along with our marriage certificate? We did the same for the Renunciation of Indian citizenship and received a surrender certificate recently.

Please get her/him a state ID card. It is very cheap. If she/he is a citizen, it is wise to get one. It helps in many places to show proof of identity and a sense of freedom!! I see the driver's license is required to file taxes online in some states. Get a debit/credit card too.
