  • PIO - kids; photo + new US Passport

My daughter (US Citizen) got her PIO card when she was 4 months old. Now she is 6 years old - and also she has a new US passport (the one that she had when she got the PIO card expired). So my question:

Do I need to get her an updated PIO card - with a new photo - and new passport info?
    OR
Is it ok if she travels with the current PIO card, the old US passport and the new US passport?

    Check this link

I believe you should be able to travel with the PIO along with the old and new US Passport. But it is safe to get the new passport number endorsed. That should not take a long time - my guess is a week or two, provided you have that much time before you travel.

      what about photo

Thanks for the response. I wonder if they can also update the photo? Or do they just put in the new passport # in the PIO card -and that's it?
