Hello,
I'm trying to get OCIs for both my daughters. I am not married and needless to say, don't have a marriage certificate. My partner is an American citizen (caucasian). Will this disqualify my kids from an OCI even though i'm an indian citizen? I have seen multiple versions of the document checklist with conflicting requirements for a marriage certificate. Anywhere from, 'Required' to 'if not available, state reason'. I'm seeking some expertise. Also, it doesn't explicitly mention anywhere that children of (atleast one) unmarried Indian parent(s) don't qualify for an OCI.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or anything closer?
