New OCI - additional documents - New Checklist vs Old Checklist ?

I got an auto reply after they received my application stating they need:

1. Additional documents : UNDERTAKING LETTER ID REQUIRED
2. Duly Notarized Affidavit in Lieu of Originals. : COPY IS MISSING
3. Proof of Renunciation of Indian Citizenship : PROOF OF RENUNCIATION IS MISSING

1 and 2. this is not even on the checklist - I treated this whole thing like a university level project and read word for word on the New Checklist which I imagine is "New" enough that everyone is following it. BUT no this point comes from an old checklist after I spent hours figuring out.

3. I acquired foreign citizenship (Canada) in 2002 therefore, not only I cannot provide a renunciation certificate but it's not even required for god's sake - Per the 'New" OCI Checklist - For Adult (US National By Naturalization) found on VFS, point #6 is highlighted and clearly states "Copy of the Surrender/Renunciation Certificate would be needed for Indian passports surrendered after May 31, 2010."

Also side note; I became a US citizen in 2023 so I'm applying for OCI based on that citizenship. They asked in Part B of online form whether I'm dual so of course I mentioned that I am and sent all copies including my indian passport with cancelled stamp and even my landing papers from decades ago in Canada.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE KINDLY HELP!

All those 3 items are mentioned in the checklist, and what to do if you acquired before 31.May/2010. Here is that clarification - "If Indian passport was surrendered on or before 31 May 2010, copy of canceled Indian Passport with a stamp stating the passport is canceled on acquiring US/Foreign citizenship."

If you have never renounced your Indian Citizenship or passport after getting citizenship in Canada or the US, you must start that process. Check the VFS website for details. https://visa.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/in...r-renunciation

Were you asked to submit the missing documents by email or via some online portal? Also, how long after you submitted your oci application did you get this query?
