OCI update - after a year of passport renewal.

My daughter received new passport last year. I am trying to update OCI under Miscellaneous Service (OCI minor) and It says The uploading of these documents may be done within three months of receipt of new passport.

Now it is more than 3 months that we renewed her passport (been an year now). Will it fine if we submit the updated Information or should we submit a new OCI application. We are planning to travel shortly and I hope not to see any surprises during port of entry.

The rule for OCI updates is 3 months after getting the new passport. But what you can do if you are late is not clear. Please submit and share the outcome.
