OCI update with new US passport number

So I renewed my US passport early February and I updated the OCI online after that. Since Feb 11, 2025, the status has been "
Your application has been acknowledged by competent authority. It is being processed and will be updated soon." .

Whats the current timeline to get the final update done on the OCI record and get an ack email from them? I am traveling to India end of April and would like to apply for the Fast track program asap and get biometric done at BOM airport on arrival. But to apply for Fast track program, the OCI update with new passport number needs to be done.

You can travel. I don't remember getting any update after the email. Just in case the immigration officer asks you, have a print copy of the email to show you have updated the new passport information online.

I am not worried about travel at all. My question was how long does it take as I want to fill my Fast track application before I leave for India and get it ready/approved for biometric. I don't want to miss the opportunity to get biometric done in April. My daughter has her fast track approved and is waiting for her next trip to India for biometric too.

Got an email saying my OCI has been updated with new US passport number. Exactly took 5 weeks.
