Hi,
I am an Indian and currently on F1 Visa in USA. My passport is expiring in July 2011.
I am planning to apply for my passport renewal. Which address should I mention in the online application form as I plan to get back to India after my education which is in September 2011.
In the website in "Indianembassy.org" its mentioned as "While filling the form, please type current US address for which address proof has been given as address to be printed on passport". Since I won't be here for long, I wasn't sure if I am to give my US address or Indian address. In case I have to give my US address, would that be a problem later, since I'll have this address on my passport for 10yrs..?
In the website they mentioned give only driver's license or utility bills as proof of address. I only have my learners permit and W2 can I submit my learners permit..?
Just fyi, in case I have to fill in my Indian address, we are not living in our own house in India (we have tenants living there) and we are living in a rented house in another area. If I have to give my Indian address which address would you recommend, Own house address or rented house..? Very soon we'll move out of the rented house and go to a new house (we still don't know where). Also which document should I submit as proof of address for Indian address.
My current passport has our own house address (coz when I applied for my passport we were living there).
