u.s student visa with old address in passport

hi,
wanted to ask will there be any problem applying to u.s students visa with my passport having old address.. should i require to change it? as i am scared of the delay it may cause..and also how is the change in address done..
i am a sEA FARER.. so i have plenty u.s/other countries transit visa..so will they edit the address column or will they replace with a totally new one? (which wil be a problem as i may need to reapply to all the visas again.)

You can have the old address in the passport. It is fine.
