Hello,
I am recent GC holder through marriage to a USC. I moved to the US on an F-1 visa to pursue graduate studies. The second page of my Indian passport has an endorsement and 2 stamps that read "DELETED" . The officer has put a line over the sentence that reads ' Emigration Check Not Required'. This was endorsed in 2007. I visited Thailand in 2006 and Malaysia in 2008 on a holiday. I am going to visit India in December and I'm not sure what this endorsement with the delete stamps mean and whether I would have to do anything to change it. I have read the ECR/ECNR page from immihelp.com but that did not seem to answer my query. Please help!!
