OCI Application - Naturalization certificate.

My son got his US Passport as a minor of US parents in 2009. He do not have a Citizenship/Naturalization Certificate. Do we have have to obtain such a certificate inorder to apply for OCI card, or is the US Passport enough?

In that case, you need to send parents' naturalization certificates and a notarized letter stating why the child didn't get his/her own NC ... both parents must sign the letter

No naturalization certificate as became citizen as minor

Dear Fellow Members

My daughter who became citizen as minor along with parents is now adult and does not have naturalization certificate. So applying for OCI is it a must or some other alternative will work. Please share if you have applied recently for adults who became citizen as minor and don't have naturalization certificate.
