Problem applying for PIO Card when I-94 extension not received

I sent my application for my daughter's (4 month old) PIO card with all the relevant documents. However I got a message from TRAVISA that my VISA status documents are missing.
My VISA has currently expired and I have applied for an I-94 extension. I have not received the response back from USCIS about the same i.e.e Approved or Rejected.
TRAVISA says, my daughter won't be given a PIO card unless my extension is approved.
I asked, what happens if my extension is rejected in which case I will need to go back to India and they said, your daughter won't be able to go back to India in that case.
Is that really so???

Has anyone been in a similar situation?
What other options do I have to ensure my daughter can travel back with me and my wife in case my extension is really rejected?

I am in similar situation and have got the acknowledgement notice but case not been processed. Would the acknowledgement notice be sufficient to prove case been pending? How did you proceed in your case.

After repeated calls to the Travisa trying to convince them, I finally gave up and decided to just wait for my extension result and hope that it gets extended.

Luckily my VISA did get extended and I was then able to apply for my daughters PIO card.

Its Fine - there is a way out

Hi - I am sure you would have got a way out, just incase if not its very simple just talk to the Consulate General of India and explain the proble, they will talk to the Travisa India Outsourcing and the process will be resumed.
To get the contact information of Consulate General of Indi just do google - they are very helpful and will right away look into this problme.
