Very recently, my laptop bag was snatched consisting of, among other valuables, my current passport. This passport was issues in lieu of a damaged one 1.5 years ago. I complained to the police immediately and also have an FIR for that incident. I am following up with them in vain to locate, atleast, the passport, if not my other valuables.
I read online that a duplicate passport may not be issues for second loss/damage of passport.
If anyone has been in a similar situation, such a second loss or damage of passport, please advise me if any course of action is possible to obtain a new passport.
