Help me !!! my passport expires in 7 months, in inida can i go for visa stamping??
got approval for H1-B extension with out I-94. I got approval for 2 years in I-797 petition document.
Right now I'm in India for H1-B Visa stamping.
I'm wondering my passport is getting expired on 31st of July 2012. Will I get stamped for 2 years even if I carry 7 more month of valid passport !!!!! Can I go later for renewal of my passport once I get visa ?
If I go for stamping now, will I get H1-B visa only for 7 months as my passport is valid for 7 months?
Else will I get H1-B visa for the duration of the period mentioned in I-797 petition form ?
Checked in VFS office in Begumpet, Hyderabad, AP- India, they told me if my passport is valid for 6 more months thats fine. Is this correct !!!!!!
