Hi, can someone please help with this dilemma or share similar experience as to what you did to resolve this? My Passport has expired 8 months ago and I am trying to renew it. I live in Florida, so my jurisdiction is CGI-Houston. As per their website I have to fill out the on-line passport application form, save and print it, which would also provide a web-file-id for reference (in order to print later). I follow the instructions on their website to fill the online passport application form here: https://passport.gov.in/nri/OnlineRegistration.jsp
After filling in all the required details, I click on "Save & Print" button at the bottom of the page. But it just goes to some NRI related homepage and does not give me any option to print nor does it give any web-file-id to print later. Are others experience the same thing or were you able to print your on-line application form recently? I have tried several times (over the past 4 months) with different browsers, Internet Explorer 6, 8, 9, FireFox, Safari... all give the same result. Without being able to print this on-line application form I cannot mail in my passport renewal documents to the Consulate. They simply reject and send everything back asking to fill in and print out the online application.
Can someone please help as to what you did to resolve if you have experienced the same? My only other option left would be to actually visit the consulate in Housoton, i.e. spend money to fly there, stay at a hotel and visit the consulate in person with my documents and explain what is going on... which I would like to avoid.
