PIO card holder missed registration

I have a 4 year old kid who is a PIO card holder. Sometime back I moved back to India and was not aware that I need to register with immigration officer if the stay is more than 180 days. I am bit worried about this and afraid of the consequences. If anyone had same experience, please share. Thanks.
