Hi,
I was wondering if any of you have been in this situation. Me and my husband are naturalized US citizens. I had applied for my OCI in 2008 and was given the choice to file OCI then for my USC son (minor).
I did not do it then, but I want to do this now. I was reading the requirements and based on that my son is eligible for OCI. The fathers previous status shouldnt matter for the son since OCI needs one parents eligibility right?
Reading some experiences online...I am fearful of applying for an OCI for my child. Anyone who has crossed this hurdle successfully? I would love to hear your experience.
Also, is the consulate resourceful in dealing with these questions?
Sunita.
