Name changed after marriage but passport unchnaged

Hi,
I got my passport stolen few days back and now I am applying for a new passport.
I have a confusion regarding the name that I should put in the application..definitely mine:-)

My passport and my current visa(L2) had my maiden name divya pandey.
My employer has filed my H1b with my passport name ..

since I lost my passport,

I wanted to know if I can apply with the same name(divya pandey) or should I use the surname after marriage divya sharma
as my marriage certificate mentions my new surname as well.

Please suggest what would be correct as my H1b is also under processing..I don't want it to become invalid.

It is not necessary to change last name after marriage.

However, whatever name you want to use, it should be used consistently everywhere.
