Passport renewal at Chicago- with Interim Drivers license

Hi ,

Can I take my Interim drivers license as the address proof for getting my passport renewed at Chicago consulate?

I just applied for license and will be getting the original in the next 10 days. But I need to travel to india in 2 weeks time and cannot wait to apply for passport renewal until i receive my original drivers license.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated!!
