American Citizen PIO card processing time from Indian Consulate in Edinburgh..
I made my application at the Edinburgh Indian Consulate and was told that it would take 4-6 weeks. It has now been 8 weeks and I have not received it. I called to find out what was going on and they said it can take longer as they have to get clearance from the Indian Embassy in the USA since I am an US citizen. However no one can tell me how long this will take. Has anyone gone through a similar situation or familiar with how long this application process can take? I have my Indian Wedding ceremony at the end of Oct and I am getting quite worried with this. Thank you for any help and advise.
