Urgent- Re-issue of Passport

I have my old passport expired recently. Old passport had US J1 visa (expired) with 2 year rule. Since I never travelled abroad during those 2 years, I believe I will need old passport as a proof. Please guide me if you have additional information.

Old passport has my home town address but now settled in Pune. If I apply for:

Re-issue of Passport -
Reason:
Validity Expired within 3 years/Due to Expire

Change in Existing Personal Particulars
Reason:
Address change
Include Spouse Name

What I will receive –

New passport with new passport number?
What about old passport since I will need it for my future reference, especially for J1? Will I receive it along with new passport?

New passport will have a new number. They will give you your old passport back.
