hi,
I wish to change my name in my passport. I do not have a Surname according to my Indian passport and a very lengthy name in my "Given Name".
Hence I will be changing my name. I have three questions:
1) Will i get a new passport or a document attached to the current passport with the name change ?
2) If I get a new passport, will I get the valid H1B visa stamping as on the current passport i hold in my hand ? If no, will my I-797 be the only valid visa related document I will be holding in my hand ?
3) Will I also receive the old passport along with the new passport ( this having the new name ) from the Indian consulate ?
