  • CKGS Newyork and Fedex together seem to lose my sons passport

    I applied for my new born son's OCI and I got a mail asking to send his passport over for Match up and as suggested on CKGS website, I paid for courier service for Fedex to pickup and for their return service through CKGS website.

    Fedex picked up my package with my sons passport for the match up, and now Fedex and CKGS try to blame each other, but dont provide me a solution.
    Fedex says they have scanned the package and delivered to CKGS front office and they signed for it, and CKGS says they scan the packages in their van or at their local office and we dont see each package before we sign.

    Now, if I apply for a new passport for my son, they say I have to again pay for the OCI process of atleast 100$ with a lost passport case and wait another 8 weeks to process. Where as I booked our tickets to india when I understood that OCI was approved. My travel is in July and I dont know how long this whole thing is going to take, and why I should be paying when I went through the courier service that was provided by CKGS and they both lost it, and are playing the blame game at each other.

    More than the money, I feel traumatized for having to loose my son's passport and they simply say just raise a Lost passport case without even properly investigating where the package is. I'm wondering if I raise a lost passport case and apply for a new passport they will call and tell me that they have found the package. And by then my OCI wont be valid as the existing passport would have been cancelled.

    Please help.
    Has anyone else have had such mishaps.

    We are in touch with CKGS to close the Issue

    Hi All,

    We received a positive response from CKGS and they are working with us. We would prefer to keep the thread active to post the updates. We have Issues with FedEx aswell in handling the case, We logged a incident with FedEx. We will post update soon.

    We are happy the way CKGS able to understand the situation and they are ready to extend the help.

      CKGS helped in fixing

      Hi All,

      After having multiple discussions with CKGS and FEDEX, We realized the passport is nowhere, Its Gone and Fedex not willing to take responsibility and CKGS (Suhiel) guided me to get the work done hassle free.

      We got our new passport and CKGS (My contact: Sushiel) helped me to get the OCI process from end to end done, Less than 10 working days, We left for vacation and Back on Sep -Mid.


      I would like to share that CKGS handled it professionally, Fedex is preferred Provider and Not handled Professionally.
