INDIAN CITIZENSHIP for USA PASSPORT HOLDING BABY

Hi,

My Baby is a US citizen by birth and is now wish to apply for Indian Citizenship.

Current status of my baby is:

1. SHE got US passport.and applIed for OCI.
In case if we want INDIAN CITIZENSHIP in future we need to register CHILD BIRTH at INDIAN CONSULATE in USA?
or I need to get INDIAN PASSPORT here itself?

2) IF in case we need to register CHILD BIRTH what is the procedure?

3) What is the procedure for getting INDIAN citizenship?

4 ) I should wait for indian citizenship till she gets 18 years or else can i get now itself?.



We shall be glade if you could help us with the procedure to be followed for application for Indian Citizenship.
