Aadhar card for OCI holders living in USA

I have 2 questions, which are related.

1. Are OCI holders residing in USA eligible to get Aadhar card? From everything I have read on this subject, including the immihelp article below, says you need to be residing in India to get Aadhar card.

2. Are OCI holders residing to USA exempted from requiring to quote Aadhar number for filing tax return in India?

Not Required

You don't require aadhaar card while you don't live in India. Any one eligible to aadhar card if he/she have been residing in India for minimum 182 days in a current financial year. If not then you are not eligible to get aadhaa card.

Aadhaar card is not mandatory, If you get income from the India. That much of income is file to returns in India then at that time you also need aadhar card to file returns in india.
