How much are you paying per month in NJ. My father has been staying with me since couple of years. We stayed in IL and there he got free Medicaid. We recently moved to NJ and here in NJ; insurance cia ACA is coming out to be 800$ -900$ per month. So looking for options.

It’s a smooth process and if your parents income is less than usd 25000 then they may be eligible for Medicaid or health insurance from marketplace. If they get insurance from marketplace then they will be eligible for premium tax credit which will be almost equal to the monthly premium of insurance policy. So you have to pay nil or small amount of insurance premium

Hi Guys, I am in NJ as well. Wondering how the premium works for ACA and how to claim your parents on taxes so that the premium is not out of control. The premium is based on the housel hold income and how that plays? My parents have very minimum income in India from pension.
