I am an international graduate student (F1 visa) at UCR (UC Riverside). I
am not sure which plan on your website can satisfy our university's
requirements. I copied the standards below. Could you please recomment me
a proper plan after you read it. Thank you.
STANDARDS FOR COMPARABLE COVERAGE
For the purpose of exemption from UCR's mandatory Undergraduate or
Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan, comparable coverage will be
defined as follows.
Must include outpatient benefits
Deductible and coinsurance/co-payment maximum is no more than $3,000 for
combined deductible and co-payment/co-insurance maximum for in-network,
non-capped benefits.
Maximum lifetime benefit must be at least $100,000; (Graduate Students;
benefit must be $250,000)
Waiting period for covering pre-existing conditions must be no more than
two years, if pre-existing conditions are not currently covered;
The insurance company must have a claims processing office located in the
United States;
