questions about patriot insurance

To whom it may concern,

I'm writing to enquire about the insurance "Patriot American Plus" , can it be obtained by any non-USA citizen with any type of visas, including J1?

Thank you for the answer, I've seen also the insurance programs specific for the J1 Visa, but I've found the Patriot American plus more convenient and complete, because it include also the trip insurance with little difference of price, hence I would like to know if I can take the Patriot American Plus even if it is not specific for a J1 visa. I'm attaching the University requirement, I wuold be glad if you can confirm if all the requirement are fulfilled.

Hello,

The Patriot America Plus plan will not meet the J visa requirements listed in your attachment. Your requirements request that the plan pay per injury or illness in the amount of $100,000 which this plan does not offer.

Also the plan is required to have no more than a 12 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions which the Patriot America Plus plan does not cover pre-existing conditions at all.

We would recommend a plan called Patriot Exchange Program that is designed for your visa type.

Ok, thank you for the help, it was very usefull.
Do you have any suggestion about any insurance just for the trip that can be bought separately? I couldn't found it on the web site because my permenence in the USA last 10 month, that means too much time between the arrival and the departure.

I'm taking a flight from Milan to Los Angeles, I'm looking for an insurance for loss of luggage and the medical coverage during the trip. The dates of the trip are the 15th of January 2017 and the 15th of November 2017.

You can have the plan start as of the date you are leaving Milan and it will cover you while you are traveling here. The Patriot Exchange Program does have a loss of checked luggage benefit that you can add to the plan as well.
