hi,
three questions:
1. how much money (cash and traveller's cheques) is allowed to be taken to the USA?
2. how much USD (cash and traveller's cheque) are we allowed to take out of india?
3. what is the procedure in respect of such money at departure from india and also at arrival in the USA

I pretty much guess it depends on the type of VISA you hold. I know from Aus you cant carry more than AUD10,000.00 in cash to India. you can carry more by travelsrs cheques or other means.

Your bank should give you the exact values.
