entering on H4 with an intent to study in US

Hi,

I have one question related to this.
I am presently on H4 and planning to join a US Univ this Fall 2006 from where I have already been issued an I-20 last month.
Now I am going to India for a month's vacation and want to come back to US in July and then apply for a change of status from H4 to F1 in order to avail my assistantship and scholarship offered by the university.
Now while entering US at the port of entry, are they going to ask me why I did not get my F1 stamped from India as they might know it from SEVIS which generated the I-20 for me. In that case is there any chances that I may not be allowed to enter US on my present H4 which is valid till 07.
Please help me out by your valuable suggestions.
