  • delivering baby in NY/MA

    Hey

I am an Indian citizen with a B1/B2 visa. I plan to deliver my baby in early 2007( am not pregnant yet). Please tell me the pros and cons of my decision. Also anyone with information on good insurance plans that will cover pregnancy whist I am there will be greatly appreciated.

Please enlighten me on the possible scenarios I could encounter at immigration/customs at my port of entry (most likely NY). How much would it cost me to deliver the child there in case I don't take any insurance? etc etc. All views/opinions/suggestions are welcome.
    thanks

There is no insurance plan to cover maternity for visitors to USA. Insurance company would be just giving away free money if they covered it.

It would cost at least 15 to 20 thousand dollars.

      Delivering in the USA

      Hey
I found expatriate insurance to cover my pregnancy in the USA. Anyone with any idea on any other problems I could have( I have a B1/B2 visa) when entering the USA etc.
      Please revert.
      Thanks

          Insurance

The companies that provide insurance are William Russell, IHI Denmark,Allianz worldwide. They are really good. However, like any other insurance company please read terms and conditions and then opt for the one that works best for you.

          Hope this helps.

Could you please post the specific URL and point to us where it says that it will cover pregnancy for visitors to USA?

I could not find it anything like that in any of those companies.
              Thanks & Regards

                Enter USA pregnant

I was wondering if you have information on up to how far in a woman's pregnancy is she allowed to enter the USA?

I am a B1/B2 visa holder (first used it last May 2005 and stayed until Nov. 2005 via JFK and then I re-entered Newark airport Jan. 2006 and departed March 2006). I am medically insured (Van Breda International). thereby I will not be a burden to the US Government if I did deliver my baby there. I am currently on my 12th week and my due date is on March 2007...I plan to fly to Los Angeles this time.

Please advice on what is the best period to plan my trip to Los Angeles and if it is wise for me to say that I plan to do some sight seeing on the West coast?

                Many thanks!

Again, there is no insurance company that would cover pregnancy for visitors to USA. Please don't spread rumors.
