Marriage Certificate - Husband in UAE & Wife in India - Please help with info..
Dear Sir,
I am a Keralite, NRI Muslim living in UAE. 10 months back I got married with a girl from Kerala, Nikah was done in a masjid in our local area. Since it was a small function, there was no invitation letter or something like that. I couldn't register our marriage at that time because my leave got finished and flew back to UAE within few days after the Nikah.
My wife doesn't have passport yet. Now in order to get the Marriage Certificate, we want to register our marriage in Gramma Panjayath/Registrar. But the problem is I am not able to get leave from my work and go back to my country. Literally speaking I got stuck up here with my work.
We can provide the supporting documents like letter from Mahall committee and proof of DOB.
So I just want to know is it possible to get the marriage certificate without my physical presents before the registrar.
Seeking your advice on this matter.
