I am trying to apply for passport for my one month old son in India. But they are saying I cannot apply unless they have the original passport of the father and mother. Since I am here in the US I cannot send my passport also.
The other option that they gave me is getting a letter from the US consulate notarizing the request that I can bring the baby to the US. Are you aware of any process like this or is there something else I need to do to apply for the passport.
