birth certificate of child

Hi,

I am currently in US.My daughter was born in delhi .we got her birth certificate then but there is no name on it.
Can my father in law get a new birth certificate issued for my daughter from the municipal corporation?Do we need to send any documents from our side like an affidavit or something?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can get the new certificate with the original registration date in it (issue date can be recent, no problem), you are all set.

Otherwise, two affidavits are required.
