passport cancellation help

applied to cancel passport on aug 1st.. no news so far and they dont even answer the phone at the NY consulate! Has it taken more than 5 weeks for anyone?????

Passport Cancellation at Houston Indian Consulate

Hi,

I have a similar problem.

Had sent my passport for cancellation on Jul 30, I see that my cheque was cashed on Aug 20 and I am still waiting to get my cancelled passport.
I sent it via mail to Houston Indian Consulate, they dont pick up the phone to respond to any queries. Sent emails as well but no reply..So its same issue as yours

Any one else had this issue?
