how to manage paper files?

Hello people, I am a proprietor and my office is always in a mess due to paper files which are stuffed here and there in an unorganized manner. And, it’s such a turn –off when my clients suddenly turn up for a meeting. Please someone tell me if is there any way by which I may organized all my papers systematically.
