Help needed to find out my missing husband

Dear all,
I am desperately trying to find out my husband, whom I have not heard of since June 2010, and I last had his email response in October 2010.

My husband went to study MS and PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in West Virginia University in Morgantown,West Virginia, from Kolkata in August 2008.He does not respond to my emails , and his cell phone number is switched off.

I have written for help to US Consulate in Calcutta, Indian Embassy in Washington.I am yet to receive response from their end.

Can anyone help me in this regard?How should I move to trace him and ensure his physical secuirity?
