Bahamas Cruise - Will I get New I-94 on return?

I am planning to go on Cruise to Bahama. I have valid L1 visa. would they issue me new I-94 with different date ?

Planning to go in Sep 2011 ,I have visa stamped till Nov 2011 and i-94 till Dec 2012, if they give me new I - 94, they might put a stamp on it for Nov 2011 and then i would have to apply for extension and that is my concern

I'm in similar situation where, my H1B is valid til 2014 but my I94 expired because of passport expiration which is renewed now and I'm planning to go to Bahamas to make short trip or 2 days so that my I94 can be renewed. Please share. Thanks

Sharing my recent experience

I went for 3 days Bahamas Cruise via Royal Caribbean. The Cruise authorities didn't ask for the Bahamas visa neither for me, nor for my parents. They only checked the passport & the US visa. (I'm on H1B & my parents have come to US in a B1/B2 visitors visa). During the disembarkation at Miami port, US customs checked only the US visa (no new I-94 was issued)

It was a good trip without any issues.
