issue with firsname,lastname-unable to get Drivers license

In my H1B visa and passport Given name is 'Ramesh' and Surname is'Mohan Babu' [Passport/visa application forms had 2 sections given name & surname,i wrote my first name as given name, since it didnt have middle name section I wrote my middle name,lastname in Surname]And in my SSN records first name is 'Ramesh' middle name is 'Mohan' and lastname is 'Babu'.We had got Drivers lisence in 2 states without any problem.But now in Kentucky DMV is rejecting my driver lisence application saying "Name mismatch between SSN card and visa/passport" .According to them my name in the SSN should be 'Ramesh' as first name & 'Mohan babu' as lastname & no middle name .They want us to go to SSN office and correct the name to 'Ramesh' as first name and 'Mohan babu' as lastname , as per the visa.Now everywhere like electricity/insurance/bank/hospital records/apartment rental records etc I am indentified as 'Ramesh'-firstname , 'Mohan' as middlename &'Babu' as lastname.Now will I have any problem if I change my name in SSN as DMV said or is there any way i can avoid changing name in SSN??Kindly help............
