Hi,
My situation is a bit complicated and hence seeking some advice from experts on this forum. My current employer has filed my PERM earlier this year which has gone into audit. Hence, most probably I will be eligible for a 1-year extension on my H1-B, since they wont be able take a decision on my PERM within 365 days of applying.
I wish to change my job if my new employer is willing to file for my green card. But I have only 1 month left on my H1-B visa.
Given the situation, will it be of any help if I get my H1-B extended for 1 year, then get the H1-B transferred to the new employer, and then the new employer could file a fresh PERM for me? I am fine if I loose my priority date, if this is possible.
But I am not sure if this is feasible or not.
Any assistance on my situation would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Regards,
AVK
