Green Card Processing for L1B status
Hi,
I currently hold a L1B visa and planning to apply for a Green Card through my employer. With my experience I am eligibile for a EB-1 category.
But since I have L1B status currently, my employer has suggested that they will file my case as EB2 first and then reassess my EB1 category after I could convert my L1B to a L1A.
My question is, how easy or how risky is it to file GC case as EB2 and then convert/upgrade to EB1 at a later stage? Will this affect my final decision in any way? Please let me know.
