  • Joining new company in 6th Year

    hello folks

I am currently working for one consulting firm and my Green Card labor is under processing(PD Nov 3rd 2004)
and my H1B expires in June/July 2006, Now my client wants me to become fulltime, As you know i have close to 8 months
left on my H1B, If i accept my client's offer how the things will work in-terms of GC processing and 7th year extension etc.,

Any advices on this that would be really greatful,

    thanks

My husband is going through a similar situation. He is in 6th year of H1 and switching companies, we talked to a lawyer and he said it is possible to extend based on previous RIR filed. As to how it is done, I have no idea. Best thing to do is to find a good competent immigration lawyer to handle your case. Hope this helps!

In my 6th year on H1-B, have'nt filed for labor yet

I'm in a similar situation. Infact, more worse. I have'nt filed for labor yet. I have 10 more months on my H1 and still did not file for labor. I understand the situation I'm in. But, wanted to find out if I have any options.

Any help, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
