Change Employer while PERM in Audit

Hello - We filed for my PERM in Jan 2014 and now we have received response from DOL which is a Standard Audit. We need to respond to that audit by 8/2/2014 and we will do that.
My question is can I change employer while waiting response from DOL for my Audit case?

If I file Green Card with my new employer will this Audit from my current employer create any road blocks or will that be considered new case, irrespective of previous response.

I am also in the same boat. I don't want to wait for a year to get a response from DOL so looking for a job change, do you think it's a wise decision? what did you do in your case?
